I stayed up all night And tried to find new ways To tell you that I'm leaving It's the sequel to a story that we once had When we were still believing That the ghosts that come to haunt us Are bearing gifts that we will never be receiving You already went to sleep The smile upon your face Means that your anger had now found a rest But I had more things to say I'll guess they'll dissipate Into the morning air they'll never resurface And by the time we will return to them We will discover that they have been meaningless The morning will come Sunlight will wash my sins from under her And we will never remember The things we've argued for Tomorrow So for now I'll let sleep engulf me And drown in dreams That I was never able to decipher How peaceful the sleep of monsters Or...

It's not like I want to It's not like I need to try it on This feeling of solitude I brought it with me from home And every night when I wonder out To find this elusive song Maybe it's hiding Maybe I'll find it soon I brought some compassion I thought you could use some here But now that I got here I see that I forgot to pack fear And every night When I'm calling you on the phone It's sounds like you're weathering Weathering away Why did you come here To fade away? Tonight the stars scream your name And everywhere I turn to You A friend in a foreign land Is in need of change I try to believe in things Then I toss them aside like broken rings This chill that has gotten to my soul It broke through the bones and the skin And try as I might I don't get it right I don't even remember what my success is Measuring Measuring against Why did I come here To fade away? Tonight the stars scream my name And everywhere I turn to You

I found myself in a cloud But I have been this way before I know these houses I've pummeled on these people's doors This place had changed It's unrecognizable But I can tell these people's fears I see it flashing in their eyes As they are passing me by Making their way Down Down Down to the water's edge And drown Drown And drown their river's worth of tears there Doesn't make them any happier I want to share some of their grief My hands outstretched for them to see But they don't notice me They just walk right past through me I want to tell them that I bring back The thing that they've waited for all these years But they seem to have given up hope Having shed their share of tears Making their way Down... I tried to find a way To make them see all these things that I've been seeing To make them believe all the things That I've so struggled to believe in But they don't seem to see the whole picture yet They can raise their eyes up to the sky And see me make my way This time that I'm ascending I am never coming back So you can go Down...

I'll believe it When I see it When I see it With my own eyes I'll believe it When I see it With my own eyes Allemagne I've been waiting For the landing Please don't wake me I'm alive I have come to find My peace of mind here And I'll be singing hallelujah when we land I'll be singing hallelujah when we land I have come to find the skyline frightening When I was gone from here I was a child Now these images that come to haunt me They are a fiction Left behind When the plane touches down Down on the heartland I'm on my knees then I'll kiss the ground I have come here I've come to die here And I'll be singing hallelujah when we land I'll be singing hallelujah when we land Please don't try to understand me You are a young man My time has passed But understand that in the land Spread underneath us There is the only place Where I can find my rest Please don't wake me Until we get there Then stay and tell me My dream is done I was a child here Now I must die here But I'll be singing hallelujah when we land Yeah, I'll be singing hallelujah when we land I'll believe it When I see it When I see it With my own eyes I'll believe it When I see it With my own eyes Allemagne

Look how well you walk through the fire All these delicate steps That you took in advance I wouldn't be the one to say But all the words are taken anyway But if I can't bring you calm Then no one will So here it goes Those sleeping pills won't help you Get the rest you need tonight These dreams you have Will be keeping you awake But when the darkness comes Creeping away from the sunlight You'll be left With but one choice to make Whatever choice Whatever outcome What ordinary minds I hope I haven't done any harm I hope I haven't done any harm I don't think I've done any harm Oh, how could I've done any harm I hope I haven't done any harm It won't be an easy choice to make Giving everything away for some happiness But there are times in life when Brevity must call upon you You have to answer all the same when there's no one left to blame You'll have to settle for the last one No ordinary calm I hope I haven't done any harm... I hope I haven't done any harm...
